The highlight is Europe’s longest Flow Country Trail on the Petzen mountain.

We offer eight new and perfectly signposted cycling tours to all six lakes in the region and to the Drava River.
Two road cycling tours lead to Diex and the Schaidasattel pass near Ferlach.
NEW! Drau Cycle Path Shuttle:
From Lake Klopein to Ferlach (Tuesdays, Thursdays) and from Lavamünd (Wednesdays, Fridays) back to the lake. Runs from approximately mid-May to mid-September, for only €5 per person and bike.

ROWING
Rowing center Völkermarkt:
Located on the Drau River, our hotel is your experienced partner for your central training camp!
We are, in fact, the only establishment on the lake offering this professional service!
…have been staying at our hotel for a training camp since summer 2015 – the entire German national rowing team with their coaches and support staff! By the way: Congratulations on your silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics!

FISHING
FISHING PARADISE KLOPEINER LAKE:
The son of the house, Hardy-Christopher Marolt, has been an avid angler and hunter since childhood and holds the record for the largest fish caught in the lake, including a catfish over 2.20 meters long (photo: Hardy with his brother-in-law Daniel) and carp over 35 kg. If you are also a keen angler, we would be happy to assist you in obtaining a fishing license or advise you on the best fishing spots and bait selection. We also have rowboats for rent, and if you have a good catch, our fantastic kitchen team, which specializes in preparing fresh fish, would be delighted to cook it for you!
